ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS

What happens during a DayCation?

DayCations include an engaging presentation, a lunch break and a workshop or activity. Every DayCation has a unique theme - from local history to arts and culture and blends learning with lighthearted fun. 

What does my registration fee include?

Registration fees include everything needed for the day's activities. 

Coffee, tea, water and snacks are provided throughout the day.

Please bring your own lunch to enjoy during the lunch break. 


How long are the DayCations? 

DayCations start at 10:00 AM and finish at 2:00 PM. 

Do I need to purchase a membership?

No. Each DayCation is a complete, stand-alone experience. You're welcome to attend one, a few or as many as you would like. There is no membership requirement and no on-going commitment. 

ACCESSIBILITY & PARTICIPATION

Do I need to be physically active to participate?

DayCations are designed for independent adults who are comfortable walking and participating in light activity.  If you're unsure whether a particular DayCation is the right fit, please contact us - we're happy to help. 

What if I use a cane or walker?

Please contact us to ensure the DayCation you are interested in is compatible with a mobility aid. 

Are the venues climate controlled?

DayCations are held in comfortable, accessible indoor venues with heating and air conditioning and nearby parking. Venue details are provided when you register. 


COMMUNITY

Is it okay to come alone?

Absolutely! Whether you come on your own or with a friend, everyone is welcome. We create a friendly atmosphere where it is easy to meet new people. You are welcome to register on your own, with a friend, a loved one or even a group.  Contact us if you have any questions. 

How many people attend each program?

Most DayCations have between 12 and 30 participants, depending on the presentation and the venue which allows everyone to participate comfortably.

What's the age range of the participants?

DayCations are designed for adults aged 55+. Participants come from a wide range of backgrounds and are typically in their late 50s to early 80s.

REGISTRATION 

How do I register for a program?

Registration is easy. Simply click on the DayCation that you're interested in on the monthly calendar and follow the registration instructions. If you have any questions, we're happy to help by phone or email. We recommend registering early, as some DayCations may fill quickly. 

What's your cancellation policy?

We understand that plans change. You may cancel up to 48 hours before your DayCation for a full refund. If you cancel within 48 hours, your registration fee will be credited towards a future DayCation

TRANSPORTATION & PARKING

What about transportation to the venue and parking?

Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the venue. All venues offer free, accessible parking and directions will be included in your registration confirmation.
