ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS

What happens during a DayCation?

DayCations run from 10:00AM to 3:00PM and include an engaging presentation, a light lunch and a workshop or local outing in the Edmonton area. Every DayCation is designed around a theme - from local history to arts and culture - and blends learning with lighthearted fun and great conversation. 

What is included in the price?

Everything! The DayCation fee of $120 includes all activities, materials, a light lunch, (sandwiches, fruit and dessert) any transportation required during the DayCation and admission to any attractions we may visit. Coffee, tea and water are provided throughout the day. We're unable to to accommodate dietary restrictions, but you're welcome to bring your own lunch if needed. 

How long are the programs? 

DayCations start at 10:00AM and finish at 3:00PM - a full day of learning, connection and exploration without the hassle of overnight travel. 

ACCESSIBILITY & COMFORT

Do I need to be physically active to participate?

Our programs are designed for active, independent adults who can walk comfortably and navigate venues without assistance. Most activities involve light walking and sitting, with breaks built in throughout the day. If you have any questions about whether a specific program is right for you, please contact us.

What are the physical requirements?

Participants should be able to walk without assistance, navigate stairs if needed and be comfortable with light physical activity throughout the day. Our programs are best suited for mobile, independent adults who don't require mobility aids or physical assistance.

Are the venues climate controlled?

Yes, we prioritize indoor venues with proper heating and air conditioning. You'll receive specific venue details with your registration confirmation so you will know exactly what to expect. 


COMMUNITY & CONNECTION

Is it okay to come alone?

Absolutely! Most of our participants attend on their own and we create a welcoming environment that makes it easy to connect with others. You'll leave with new friends and shared experiences. 

How many people attend each program?

We keep groups intimate with typically 12 - 20 participants. This ensures everyone feels included and has opportunities for meaningful conversation and connection.

What's the age range of the participants?

Our programs are designed for adults 55+, with most participants ranging from their late 50s to early 80s. Everyone shares a love of learning, exploring and trying new things.

REGISTRATION & LOGISTICS

How do I register for a program?

Registration is simple! On this website, click on the calendar event that you're interested in and follow the registration link. You can also call or email us directly. We recommend registering early as our programs often fill up.

What's your cancellation policy?

We understand that plans change. You can cancel up to 48 hours before the program for a full refund. Within 48 hours, we offer a credit that can be used for future DayCations. 

What about transportation and parking?

All of our meeting locations have accessible parking available. Once you register, we will send you the exact meeting location and parking details.

Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the meeting location.

Any transportation required during the DayCation is provided and included in the registration fee.
